What is Domain Pilot?

Domain Pilot is one dashboard for every domain you own, wherever it’s registered. It connects to 11 registrars, including GoDaddy, Namecheap and Cloudflare, and shows each domain’s expiry date, auto-renew status, DNS records, SSL certificate and uptime in one place, with alerts before anything lapses or breaks. It’s free for 5 domains.

How is Domain Pilot different from an uptime monitor like Pingdom or UptimeRobot?

Uptime monitors check whether a website answers. Domain Pilot does that from six regions, and also connects to your registrars, so it knows each domain’s expiry date and auto-renew status, edits DNS with one-click templates, and alerts you when DNS changes or a site turns into a parking page. The compare page shows what each tool watches.

Do I need to transfer my domains to Domain Pilot?

No. Domain Pilot connects to the registrars you already use through their APIs. Your domains, DNS and billing stay exactly where they are.

Is it safe to give Domain Pilot my registrar API keys?

Keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never shown again after you enter them. You can revoke a key at your registrar at any time, and you can export your data whenever you like.

What can an AI assistant do with my account?

Through Domain Pilot's MCP server, an assistant can list and look up your domains, run health checks, read uptime, SSL, incidents and DNS, add or update DNS records, and turn monitoring on or off. It acts as you, and only after you approve it with two-factor sign-in. It can't delete domains or DNS records, or change billing, team or account settings. Disconnect any app under Settings → MCP.

Which AI assistants work with Domain Pilot?

Claude, ChatGPT (as a custom connector in developer mode) and Claude Code connect by adding https://mcp.domainpilot.io/mcp and signing in. Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients connect with a token you generate under Settings → MCP. Each one has a setup guide in the help center.

Which registrars do you support?

GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Name.com, Hostinger, NameSilo, Epik, Porkbun, Dynadot, Vercel and AWS Route 53. IONOS and DigitalOcean are coming soon. Don't see yours? Let us know and we'll prioritise it.

Does Domain Pilot renew my domains?

No. Renewals and payments happen at your registrar. Domain Pilot reminds you 90, 60, 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 day before a domain expires, so a renewal never slips past you.

How often are my sites checked?

From every 15 minutes on Free to every 30 seconds on Pro, from six regions: North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Can I invite my team?

Yes. Invite team members as admins or members and manage your domains together. The number of seats depends on your plan; each plan's team size is shown under pricing.
